Titans triumph over Tigers

It was another victory for the GCHS Titan Basketball team after they traveled to Elizabeth on Friday, Jan. 3 to face the Tigers.

Currently (5-1), the 2013-2014 Titans have proven to be well balanced with both experienced leaders and young talent ready to shine on the court.

In the Wirt County match-up, it was a combination of those two elements that got the win.

Austin Cunningham and Austin Ratliff jointly led the Titans with 19 points each. While Cunningham has had big three point games all season, he was forced to settle for only a single shot from behind the arc this game.

However, his sophomore brother Colby Cunningham put up a trifecta from three-point territory for 15 points total. Zach Chapman also scored 15 points for the Titans.

The Titans took the win, 83-71.
