Junior Albert Moore, age 92, of Glenville, departed this life on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at the Genesis Health Care Center, Glenville, following a brief illness.

Born October 28, 1921 in Gilmer County, son of the late Worthy and Ida Greenlief Moore.

Junior worked for the West Virginia Department of Highways, where he retired with over 20 years experience. He was a proud Army Veteran of World War II. In his later years he enjoyed watching television, especially old westerns, sports , and Fox News. He loved is cat "Smokey", and was a hardcore Boston Red Sox's Fan.

On January 27, 1951 he was united in marriage to Mary Louise Nicholas, who preceded him in death on April 19, 2000.

Surviving are six children, Jim Moore and wife, Kay of Taylorsville, KY; Jack Moore of Glenville; Johnny Moore and companion, Debbie Weaver of Gilmer Station; Mike Moore and wife, Ashley of Sinking Creek; Jeane Fisher and husband, Kenny of Glenville; and Jeanett Junkins and husband, Tim of Burnt House; and one nephew, Richard Clevenger of Grafton, OH. There are 13 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren also surviving.

Junior was the last surviving member of his immediate family having been preceded in death by one son, Jeffery Moore, four brothers, Pete, Sam, Bill, and John Moore, three sisters, Opal Green, Arnette "Tip" Westfall, Drucilla Clevenger.

Funeral Services were conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary Inc., 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, West Virginia, 26351 at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 1, 2014, Pastor Bryan Groves and Pastor Randy Wilson officiated. Burial followed in the Rhoades Cemetery on Kelly Run Road, Glenville, WV., with Full Military Honors. Friends called from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, January 31, at the Mortuary.
