Benefit Dinner planned for the Stanley Starcher family
On Sat., Jan. 4, friends of Stanley Starcher, Glenville's Street Supervisor, have planned a benefit dinner to help out his family as his son, "Bub," has endured a long hospital stay in Charleston. Due to an infection in his blood, Bub has undergone several surgeries and remains in the hospital with an I-V that is helping to ensure the infection doesn't come back. While he is hoping to come home soon, the hospital bills and days off of work have put a big financial strain on his family.

Stanley does so much for the City of Glenville and it has been hard for him to be away. He has worried about the streets being snowy and unsafe for the citizens, but has been assured that everyone understands why he hasn't been around. Now, everyone has an opportunity to do something to help him!

The dinner will be held at the Glenville Fire Station. The menu will include pulled pork, with all the fixin's and desserts. The cost is by donation. There will also be a 50/50 raffle and a silent auction. Donations for the silent auction can be dropped off at the firehouse or at the newspaper office on North Court Street.
