Obit Jones

Jason Lee Jones, 27, of Bridgeport, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Tuesday, March 1, 2016. He was born February 13, 1989, a son of Patricia A. Jones McDaniel and the stepson of Elwood Lynn McDaniel, who survive in Folsom.

He is also survived by his three very special uncles, William Allen Jones and his wife, Dawna, Roanoke; Thomas Paul Jones, Folsom; and Jerald Lee Jones and his wife, Rebecca, Wallace; his grandfather, William Lyda Jones and his wife, Barbara, Normantown; his uncles, Brian Fleming and Jimmy Fleming, both of Clarksburg; Larry Fleming of VA; his aunts, Mary Leary, Clarksburg; Misty Fleming, Stonewood; Tammy Fleming and Karen Fleming, of Clarksburg; his step-grandmother Dorothy J. McDaniel, Wallace; his Aunts, Isabelle Yuras and her husband, Junior, Warwick, RI; Sue Oross, Spotswood, NJ; Norma Lee Ledbetter, Bullhead City, AZ; his Uncle, Robert Schuchardt and his wife, Glenda, Anmoore; his special friend Heather Jordan and her daughters, Natalya and Aubryanna; and several cousins, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Wayne Fleming; grandmother, Mary Ellen Jones; his grandparents, Bill and Martha Fleming; and his step-grandfather, Elwood S. McDaniel.

Jason was a graduate of Bridgeport High School, Class of 2007, and had attended Fairmont State University. He was currently working at Gabriel Brothers as a processor, and he loved computers.

Jason was a kind hearted person who loved to help people. He was Vice-President of Bridgeport Manor Association and had served as the Secretary. He was in charge of Movie Night and belonged to the Adult Coloring Class. He did snow removal from cars in the parking lot and would help people when they were moving in. He often donated blood and would grow his hair long and donate it to Locks of Love, and he also spent time at the Mustard Seed. He will be very much missed by all his friends at Bridgeport Manor.

Friends were received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, from 1:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Monday, March 7, 2016, where services were held at 6:00 p.m. Reverend Dr. C. Michael Hopkins presided. Interment will be held in Stonewall Park Cemetery at a later date.
