Sandra Joice Jefferies, 74, of Coxs Mills, passed away, November 5, 2019, in the comfort of her home with the company of loved ones and under the compassionate care of WV Caring Hospice.
She was born in Duffy, on January 27, 1945 into the large loving family of Cecil and Myrtle McCartney Bleigh.
On April 27,1973, in Minnesota, Sandra said, “I do” to Lawrence “Larry” Jefferies and was his constant companion for more than 46 years.
Sandra worked as a waitress for many years but her heart was always at home. She enjoyed being a good wife, mother, grandmother, sister and homemaker. She loved her children and cherished her grandchildren who were the pride of her life. She liked dining out with Larry and visiting family.
She will be greatly missed by husband, Larry; four children, Michael Davisson and companion, Mary Williams, of Salem, Michelle Evans and husband, Andy, of Weston, Shane Jeffries and companion, Nancy Gibson, of Annamoriah and Heather Gibson and husband, Craig, of Auburn; four grandchildren, Zeb Davisson, Drew Evans, Haley Gibson and Kaley Gibson; three brothers, Darrell Bleigh and wife, Connie, of Ireland, David Bleigh and wife, Mae, of Ireland and Bobby Bleigh and wife, Shelly, of Weston; four sisters, Jean O'Dell of Ireland, Shirley Messenger, of Buckhannon, Louise Lowther and husband, Glenn, of Ireland, and Brenda Moore and husband, Jessie, of Weston, and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding Sandra in death were her parents, one brother, Kyle Wayne Bleigh, and three brothers-in-laws, Clarence O'Dell, Bernard Messenger and Robert Hefner.
Sandra's request for cremation has been honored. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Pat Boyle Funeral Home and Cremation Service located at 144 Hackers Creek Rd. in Jane Lew at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2019 with Pastor Dwayne Brown officiating.
