Early this year, Scotty and Bobbi Nicholson purchased the old Sand Fork Elementary through an auction.
While they were not sure exactly what it would look like, they knew they wanted it to be a hub with in the community that would provide youth and families an opportunity to do things together. They named it –Thomas Center.
“It was named Thomas Center in honor of Bobbi’s father, who passed away,” shared Sarah White, Thomas Center Director. “He loved kids, and Bobbi & Scotty share that same passion.”
As Thomas Center, a community non-profit, continues to develop within the shell of the old Sand Fork Elementary, kids remain the primary focus. They fully embrace the old adage – It takes a village to raise a child.
