Getting Ready for the New Year in Burnsville

The winners of the Christmas Lighting Contest sponsored by the Burnsville Lions Club were Quentin Losh, Pam & Steve Wine, Debbie Brown, and Ronnie Conrad.

Each family will receive a check for $50 from the Lions Club. Congratulations to all who participated.

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas. The joy of spending time with family and friends makes the holiday so great. I'm off on vacation this week. The down time is great.

Calendar of Events

  • Tues., Dec. 31 The Burnsville United Methodist Church will be having a New Years Eve service beginning at 7:30 pm. There will be special singing. Come out and enjoy the company of others this last day of 2013.
  • 2nd and 4th Tuesdays -The Burnsville Town Council meets at 6:00 pm at the Town Hall.
  • There is Bible Study at 7:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Burnsville on Tuesdays instead of Wednesdays during the months of Jan. and Feb.
  • 2nd Tuesdays The Ladies Auxiliary to VFW Post 3757 meets the 2nd Tues. of each month at 1:00 pm (in the winter months) at the Burnsville Community Building.
  • 2nd Wednesdays the Burnsville CEOS (formerly the Homemakers) meet the 2nd Wednesday of each month at the 79'er Restaurant at 10:00 am.
