DR. PALLET GIVING THE "STATE OF THE COLLEGE" ADDRESS
Speaking to a full house in the Presidents Auditorium, Glenville State College’s Dr. Tracy Pellet got applause from the faculty and staff two times, both relating to financial good news.
On last Fri., Feb. 2, the new President’s first “State of the College” address garnered loud accolades and sighs of relief when he announced that the school had eliminated over $2.0 million in vendor debt and had refinanced five capital debts into one, thereby saving $200,000 in the long term.
Moreover, he projects that for the 2018 fiscal year’s budget, starting on July 1, the college will be debt positive. He stressed that the school did not want to be at-risk, financially, moving forward.
